| 102697 | 2002-12-02 03:07:00 | Can anyone enlighten me how you can copy to CD a folder (containing a bunch of photos) with this software. Everytime I start the wizard I end up being asked for image files????? Do you have to copy each photo file individually or is there a way to copy the whole folder over to CD. The Nero manual is next to useless. I'm running Windows 98 and seeing a friends Window XP in action looked so easy. Just drag and drop in the explorer from one drive to the CD rom drive. I cant seem to do that. Any help or advice greatly appreciated. |

Open Nero > click on CD_Recorder > Choose Recorder > in the window that opens will be a Image Recorder and the name of your CD Writer. For burning to CD you need to select your CD Burner, if you are making a backup of a CD to somewhere on your hard drive for burning back to CD afterwards or at a later date, select the Image Recorder as mentioned above. So, check whether your Nero is set for Image Recorder or for your CD Burner. |

| 102701 | 2002-12-02 06:07:00 | Hi.. You may want to enable multisession, if your image size (in MB) is signifcantly smaller. This allows further burning of files on the same CD if you want to... |

I cant seem to do that. Wot version of nero are u using? Is nero the only program u use for cd burning? If not wot others do u use? If yes, then try some other programs and see wot results u have. I doubt that it could be the driver halting these transfers. But anyway wot make is ur cd drive? go to DriverZone (http://www.driverzone.com) for a comprehensive list of drivers for all models and makes of cdrw drives. cheers, v.K |

| 102703 | 2002-12-02 21:37:00 | I'm running 98SE and i think what you describe is more like inCD than nero on XP. From what i have seen Nero behaves pretty much the same on all 'doze operating systems. InCD works as you describe above but is designed primarily for rewritables. "Turn your CDRW into a big floppy" is a approximate misqote of the slogan inCD use. it's great for backups to CDRW of files that change fequently such as backing your Email folders. Nero on the other hand is built for making a compilation that you plonk onto a CD writable disk in one fowl hit. (I'm ignoring multi session and burning .iso to keep things simple here.) Nero can make audio CD's and a few other tricks that inCD can't. If you are making a disk such as a copy of your holiday snaps to send to whanau, i would recomend Nero, and i would not recomend multi session as that can complicate things.. CDs after all are less than a $ each these days if you use a CD wallet for those you keep and A4 paper as protection for those you post. .Clueless |

| 102704 | 2002-12-03 00:02:00 | Thanks everyone for all the advice. I can nowsuccesfully copy my photos onto CD. It appears I was burning to an image recorder and once I changed this to the CD burner as suggested by duckyduck and then followed cluelesses advice all came right. Also now know what a multisession is thanks to Kahawa chaser. Great site for advice!! |
