| 102588 | 2002-12-02 00:55:00 | I have Windows ME and just the past few days after an hour or so the mouse starts to get weird (is all over the place on the screen) the computer doesn't feel right and the computer logs off the internet (error 630) and I can't log on again. However if I reboot the PC is fine for a while until the above repeats... It all appears as if it is a virus/worm of some sort but have scanned using both Norton and F-Secure and both say I have no viruses... Can anyone help me please? |

| 102592 | 2002-12-03 02:15:00 | Bit tricky to advise with this limited amount of info. Have you installed any new programs or uninstalled any just prior to the problem starting? You could try running a Trojan detector as antivirus programs won't pick up all trojans. kiwibeat: I have to say that I find your advice regarding installing another version of Windows to be rather offensive. artpepper has made it quite clear that his problem had only started recently and is not complaining about Windows ME. I am sure that artpepper would appreciate much more helpful advice than what you have offered. |

As for switching to 98/XP the problem you have is not a ME specific problem and can occur in 98 as well . Susan, you have said what I was not going to say . . . . . . . . . . . . . lets not OS bash, what works for me might not work for someone else, thats computers for you and to suggest switching . . . . how much is XP worth or is a 98 disk even available . Lets stick to the facts . |
