| 102458 | 2002-12-01 23:20:00 | Actually i think the whole damn power grid is getting dodgy.. while talking on CF1 to other chch bods we found that we were having a chchwide problem with a wee brownout that had my darling Vanessa reboot itself and other slight problems around town. When i went out i discovered dead security lighting, owing to RCDs that had triped as the ****** PDL ones do when there is any sort of fluctuation. UPS is the word. Heres a challenge for Billy T Can a really obscure word for ups be found for this week ??? *Hopes i can post without knocking out the forum for another day or so* .Clueless |

| 102465 | 2002-12-02 23:16:00 | I think it would be good to put some sticky banner thing over PressF1 on the PC world site, provided this is accessable, saying simply 'out of order' or 'gone bung, back soon'. Look a bit undignified OK but accidents do happen. This would at least save the admin being bogged down with emails saying "I can't login' and 'my posts don't show' etc etc. And save us loyal participants a lot of grief. Cheers..mark :D c |

Next time the site is un-accessible to the world, they'll change it to let the rest of the world know that the rest of the world cant actually get into Pf1 :-) I think by then the rest of the world will have figured it out...
