102665 2002-12-02 02:49:00 If you hae version 7.1 (or 8.0 for XP) then you could always try downloading WMP9. If you have WMP9, Try un-installing it (Provided you're not on XP or ME) and then re-install it again.

Thats my suggestions for the moment.

To fix IE, Open Add/Remove Programs.
Find Microsoft Internet Explorer and double click it. Select "Repair" from the new menu that appears and you should be back in business!

Cheers

102667 2002-12-02 06:24:00 Hi Phylip, i don't use netscape but it almost sounds like a file associations thing, as in the wmv files are trying to open in the wrong thing, so you could check that maybe: - in win explorer - Tools - Folder options - File types - And go down the list and highlight WMV and check it is set to open in Windows media player - if not click change and change it to windows media player. Also here is a link to the knowledge base on how repair Internet Explorer in windows Xp, however i don't know if it is the same for XP pro????
support.microsoft.com
but as the article states you will be modifing the registry so you would need to back up everything etc... so if you aren't competent in that area it could/would be disastrous so might pay to leave it and carry on using netscape for now if that is working o.k.
