| 102603 | 2002-12-02 01:30:00 | When I double click NETWORK Dialing my server Clear appears as well as MI KAMASUTRA with a telephone number of 6299309. I would not have known about it until CLEAR recently changed their dial in telephone number. I have been getting a porn e-mail about once every two weeks inspite of Deleting all internet files Deleting daily TEMP Files Deleting daily COOKIES. I have no idea "WHY" and there may not be a connection? |

Yes MI KAMASUTRA is a porn site but the first 25 Google sites are all in a foreign language and when I press translate they do not mean any thing to me.....HELP...Will an ordinary Right click and delete remedy the situation...but where did I get it from. I vaguely remember seeing it there after servicing about 18 months ago but it could have been there before I sent it in !! Innocently I thought it was necesary............... |

| 102605 | 2002-12-02 02:15:00 | You may have accidentally been to an explicit site, which has set up a dialup for you. "mi kamasutra" to google.co.nz/ finds a lot of Italian (?) responses. Check the "connections" in your Network settings (and make sure that it's not direct-dialling to Italy :D). |

| 102608 | 2002-12-02 02:42:00 | Yes it will, but check next time you have rebooted to see if it has re-installed itself. If its a nasty adware program, it may recreate itself. Have you downloaded adaware? Look for it on Google, its a free download. |

| 102609 | 2002-12-02 03:12:00 | THANKS 'GODFATHER" It did not appear on reboot. I am old enough to know what the Kamasutra means but only MI Karma was showing until I high lighted this morning. I thought it was a calming influence and did not really THINK !! Has any one else been so silly with the computer experience? Please lets hear about it so I may feel at least a little better and not such a CHUMP. |

| 102610 | 2002-12-02 03:40:00 | I would also have a look in Start > Run > type msconfig > Enter > select the StartUp Tab and see if it is there as part of your start up process as well. While you are in there if you are curious about what else some of those ticked items are there for, a reasonably good list of start up programs can be found at www.answersthatwork.com and www.pacs-portal.co.uk Pac's was un available when I checked just a few minutes ago but hopefully it will be just my connection. If you do remove any of the ticks, upon Applying and OK, you will be prompted to restart, do that and near the end of loading up you will be prompted that you are using Selective Startup, just tick the box and carry on. |

| 102611 | 2002-12-02 03:43:00 | I ended up a while ago with a "movie networks" dialler, that would dial an overseas number to get access to recently released movies. Wasn't porno in nature (or not that I could tell, never viewed any movies) Have no idea how I got it, it was (like yours) easy to remove. I never knowingly download anything of that nature, but suspect it was baggage with some freeware application. As may yours have been. Mine was ineffectual as I am on Jetstream and don't usually have a modem attached. And I am sure many would find "Karmasutra" a calming influence.... |

| 102612 | 2002-12-02 03:43:00 | As for receiving porn mail and if so any other junk mail, try a program called Mailwasher available from www.mailwasher.net/ Easy to set up, you will have to enter your log in and password, pop3 and smtp but with this you can now screen all your mail while still on the server and bounce back to sender any unwanted junk. If the porn site is using your name for both the To and From fields you won't be able to bounce it but at least you can still delete it without having to download it. If using mailwasher go into Outlook Express and Tools > Options and remove the tick from the option to check for mail every ? as Mailwasher will also check for mail every 10 minutes by default and display a small white envelope when it detects new mail. |
