| 102492 | 2002-12-01 21:38:00 | Hi all.... I am thinking of buying a 5.1 speaker for my audigy card, but not sure which is better between the creative inspire 5300 and the logitech Z-640. Could you guys out there give me an recommendation? You can get the creative specifications here: australia.creative.com and logitech specitfication here: www.logitech.com Thanks in advance :) |

Either audition them both before choosing, or buy according to style/cost preferences . Unless you have super ears you won't hear the difference and if you can, the compromises in computer sound processing and audio sources will drive you nuts no matter which you buy . In the final analysis, the results at the output are only as good as the input signal minus the quality of your listening environment and ears . Cheers Billy 8-{) |

Go to a retailer that has a good range of speakers on demo so, you can compare brands against each other. Your best bet would be somewhere like Harvey Normans. Take some of your favourite music - and let rip Although they are not 5.1, have a listen to the TDK Tremor range. They are a mighty fine sounding speaker IMHO anyway. BALDY:-) |

| 102499 | 2002-12-03 10:44:00 | I know that inspire 5300 produce really good sounds, I have friends who is using it also, but unforturniately I dont know and who has logitech, nor can find a shop which has a demo i can check out as Baldy has suggested. (near my area). According to the spec's logitech is better(I think), but I just dont know that for sure. :( | Blue_face (1148) | ||
| 102500 | 2002-12-03 11:29:00 | If you like the Inspires go for them . . . . . . . I have heard they are good as well . You could also go to Google and type in Computer Speakers . There a few sites that give comparison reviews - so you can at least get an idea of what others say . BALDY:-) |
