| 102983 | 2002-12-03 06:59:00 | Hi. My mouse has lost it's sensitivity - nowadays it doesn't even smile when I turn it on! Just kiddin - I used to be able to get it to pinpoint within probably a pixel, but now it kinda jumps 4 - 10 pixels at a time when I'm trying to zero in on a clickable link, or more importantly, when I'm trying to select a unit in my favourite game. It also sporadically & randomly accelerates and decelerates slightly across the monitor. I'd like to hear from someone that has actually experienced this and resolved it, rather than the random general tips, please, as I've gone thru virtually every probable troubleshoot procedure and logicals known to experienced Windows users. Win 98, all patches & updates, graphic card is irrelevant, rodent is an 18mth old Intelli Scroll unit in good physical condition, heaps of sheeps etc. The most frustrating thing is that I can live with the innacuracy of the damned thing in apps, but when I have to use it as an excuse for losing a game - well, *shame*.
