103001 2002-12-03 09:10:00 script for a website?? i hope not. build your website to peoples resolution not try to make people change their pc to suit you. no-one will want to go back if they have to much around changeing resolution and monitor settings all the time. bugger that for a joke.

there are scripts (somewhere) that will detect the person res so you can adjust your site or send them to another page for that res.

103002 2002-12-03 19:31:00 Tim, haven't you got a visitor counter on your website to collect statistics on your visitors? If you did you would discover that most people don't have their monitor on 1024 x 768 resolution but have 800 x 600 for their 15" monitors. You will be able to see what browsers most people are using as well.

Like tweak'e says build your site to suit the majority of browsers and settings and provide optional pages for those who are able to appreciate them. That will keep you out of mischief for a while..... :D
