103210 2002-12-04 01:55:00 How can I make a web page print onto A4 without losing text on the right hand margin? What is the custom size of a web page? bpt1 (419)
103211 2002-12-04 02:08:00 If webpage authors actually want you to print their information, they usually provide a suitably formatted version, e . g . a link to pages in 'Portable Document Format' (PDF) which your browser will use the Acrobat plug-in to display and print, or a "printer freindly" version of the page

Such pages are usually laid out as A4 pages that then do not fit the screen particularly well, but print more successfully than normal web pages that are designed primarily for display .

Usually, however, authors are interested only in making their pages look good on the screen . Rather than print their pages, they expect you to bookmark them and return every time you want to read them .

Their is no "custom size" as such

103213 2002-12-04 03:10:00 Of course, the majority of pages originate in the "World" (the USA), so their standard page size is 8.5" x 11", not A4. :-( Graham L (2)
