103723 2002-12-07 19:44:00 Try the following:
Check what apps are starting up whenever you boot, by going Start | Run | type in msconfig | OK | Startup - check if any of these apps warrant having an Internet connection, and if so, go to the app and try disable the function from there.

Check where the connection is being made to by going Start | Programs | MSDos-Prompt | type in cd/ | type in netstat -a

Do the latter steps above when every app has been switched off, as well as just after you boot, and in both cases make sure you're NOT connected to the Internet at the time. Post back here with what you see under the four headings.

103724 2002-12-07 21:40:00 Hello Greg. With ZA disabled, no dialup. With everything disabled except
ZA/True vector, I get

C:\WINDOWS>netstat -a

Had a good read. No trojans and registry looks OK. Must be ZA dialling out, but does not actually call home. Still looking for the fix.....
