Computer Specs: Windows 98SE 14.2GB 5400rpm HD 384MB Ram 533Mhz P3 HEEEEEEEEEEEEEELP! PLEASE? |

| 103684 | 2002-12-06 05:21:00 | The sluggishness stops and goes. Right now, it has stopped, but 5 minutes ago I was calling the computer a.... won't say it. | Wilky (776) | ||
| 103685 | 2002-12-06 06:02:00 | Hi Wilky If the sluggishness stops and starts it could be a program running in the background. Have you had a look at what is running during the slow periods and then what is not during normal activity? |

Just to add on to Jen C To check the " & gt; program running in the background." press the three "Ctrl" & "Alt" & "Delete" key all at the same time. |

| 103690 | 2002-12-06 19:24:00 | I already did the check. If it was a program in the background, I most likely wouldn't have posted here. The only programs I run are Windows, System Tray, and Norton Antivirus Auto Protect. It makes no difference if I close nav. I just remembered something! I have a copy of process viewer! I'll check that, and see if I can speed up my computer. I'll do the ultimate speed makeover! |

| 103692 | 2002-12-06 20:08:00 | If the computer's odd behaviour ws not affected by a re-format it suggests to my little newbie mind that it is not a software issue. Unless by doing a re-format you have just re-introduced the problem from what you formatted from. Very interested to hear from you what the resolution of all this is. mark :D c |
