| 103459 | 2002-12-05 05:59:00 | In my Hotmail account I get an email from an Actrix client but I am unable to open the .jpg attachment. In the past the picture has loaded as part of the message. When I click on the name of the attachment (304k) I am asked for my pass-word but the file fails to download. I can send myself a .jpg and so can my Actrix client to themselves. Any ideas anyone, please, without 'dumping' Hotmail. |

| 103461 | 2002-12-05 06:04:00 | Can you send the file to yourself at Actix and view the attachment from within your own email. I assume you are trying to open the attachment while it is still at hotmail? how about Saving to your computer, say the desktop, do a virus scan (of course) and then try opening it there or opening your graphics program and then try opening it from within the program. |

| 103463 | 2002-12-05 06:29:00 | r u def. sure it is a jpg file? download it to hdd then enable the viewing of file extensions in folder options/view/show file extension. if it isnt a jpg then it might appear as pic.jpg.xxx, where xxx stands for the real file format. If it is pic.jpg with out any additional file endings then the file might be corrupted, but i hihgly doubt it. Just try to view it in Irfan View which is available from Tucows (http://www.tucows.co.nz). cheers, v.K |

| 103464 | 2002-12-05 09:47:00 | The email opens with the text visible. Where the picture image would normaly appear is a rectangle with a small square containing a red cross, within the rectangle. I HAVE turned off NAV with no effect on the xxx.jpg. I can send myself a xxx.jpg and my friend can send themself a xxx.jpg but my Hotmail can't open the attachment sent from Actrix. When I click on the 'Attachment' name box, situated above the message, I am asked to enter my password but the attachment does not download to my hard drive. |

| 103465 | 2002-12-05 10:13:00 | the rectangle with the red cross in it only appears if the image was unsuccesful in loading. this is probably because the file is corrupted in some way. It could also be a diff. file extension like i said before that was *cough* accidentally *cough* renamed to something else. :D Just ask them to resend the image if possible.
