| 103333 | 2002-12-04 21:58:00 | I have Windows Xp Home edition.I can send emails but i cant receive any in my outlook. When i try to get emails it comes up with........There was a problem logging onto your mail server.....Your name or password was rejected.server response ERR BAD login (account:POP3.watchdog.net.nz,POP3 server:POP3 watchdog.net.nz: Error number 0x800ccc92. I get a dialog box saying to put my username and my password in i do that and i still get the message. my username and password is the same as the one to connect to the internet and i can get that and into outlook. how can i fix this problem. thank you |

| 103334 | 2002-12-04 22:03:00 | Going by the error that you have written (if you have typed it in exactly as is displayed on your PC) you need to check you server settings. It looks like there is a space between pop3 & watchdog.net.nz Make sure there are no spaces and it reads pop3.watchdog.net.nz |

| 103335 | 2002-12-04 22:08:00 | POP3 and SMTP servers are for e-mail and have no direct effect on getting on the net. Its easy to have a simple error in your settings and not see it. |

| 103337 | 2002-12-05 03:46:00 | I suspect you have a gap in "pop3 watchdog.net.nz" if you didn't i think the PF1 post wouldn't have spat your copied message onto 2 differant lines, which is how i read your error message. Make sure it is "pop3.watchdog.net.nz" ( no gaps or ") If you arew 100% sure that you are using the right user name and pass there should be no problems. Be sure that you don't have caps lock on or anything like that. .Clueless |
