| 103818 | 2002-12-06 21:07:00 | I've noticed that my 'scvhost, exe network service uses 100% cpu for about 15 seconds, just after I'm connected and logged on but before any info is sent and received, browser page wise I've had this problem for a while now and it really means I have to wait (grrr) for that time every time I do any interneting IE6 Xphome, any ideas gratefully accepted thanks trev |

| 103819 | 2002-12-06 22:02:00 | If you hit Ctrl+Alt+Esc, you could try setting the proccess priority to the lowest possible (Should be "Low")! That might at least improve the situation for the time being! Cheers Chilling_Silence |

| 103820 | 2002-12-06 23:06:00 | thanks CS, I tried to do that in Ctrl+Alt+Dlt and it says I can't , 'operation could not be completed...Access de-nied!' It's set as normal, so I'm keen to try... I thought I could try on the administor account, only I can't find that now either any Ideas where to look? I've tried the task manager route but it only has my name and it never starts up with any options (something, don't know what, I did a while ago) Or maybe there's something else I'm missing? Ctrl+Alt+Esc didn't do anything on my comp! Thanks trev |
