| 103872 | 2002-12-06 23:48:00 | I am sticking a cd-rw in my mothers pc (she beat me to buy one). Should I have the cd and cd-rw on the same IDE channel, or the CD and HDD together? I know of one installation that gives a warning aboutCD & CD-RW on the same chaneel when copying CD's. | wotz (335) | ||
| 103873 | 2002-12-07 00:35:00 | This works ok on my setup: CDROM drive; secondary master CD-RW drive; secondary slave Try not to have a CD drive and a hard drive on the same controller, else your hard drive will be slowed down. Cheers |

If you're frequently burning "on the fly" it would be nice to have the the CDRW on a different channel to the CD-ROM. If frequently burning from the HDD to the CDRW, it would be better to have the HDD and CDRW on different channels. |
