1323908 2013-01-20 20:51:00 I have a Western Digital My Elements External hard drive. I keep getting a message saying that there has been a device I/O error and to run CHKDSK/R if there is a disk involved. Any suggestions as to the solution? WellingtonFF (12372)
1323909 2013-01-20 20:53:00 Try another USB port if it connects to a USB port. Or try another USB cable Speedy Gonzales (78)

1323911 2013-01-27 22:08:00 One reason could be the board in the Enclosure is starting to fail.

Some WD's have the HDD connected onto the board, others have the HDD slide in Via a SATA connector.
