1323806 2013-01-20 03:09:00 Ok since getting back online and having phones probs sorted, i have now started doing emails again . . . . . . . .

My main addy being gmail . . . . . . . . and secondary addy being orcon, who is my isp .

i can recieve emails just fine for both . . . . . . . but cannot send gmail emails or orcon emails . . . . . . . . . . .

i have been over and over my settings, i have read and reread the orcon instructions . . . . . . . . i have no info on what port numbers are correct for orcon as it does not tell you on the OE instrusctions . . . .

does any one have any wise words of wisdom?

of what i may have ticked / unticked or ports etc i need to use?

i would like my gmail acc to be my main addy, and orcon as a back up . . . . . . . . and as i said i recieve emails just fine for both email accounts i just cannot send . . :(

help !

1323807 2013-01-20 04:25:00 I don't know if this is any help, but my gmail settings are smtp.gmail.com, port 465, SSL/TLS, normal password.
(I'm using Thunderbird) Sorry, haven't got an Orcon account.

1323808 2013-01-20 06:16:00 Another thought - Thunderbird is pretty smart at setting up email connections automatically. It does a test to see which setting works. So it may be worth installing T'bird just to check the setup. coldot (6847)

You have set up two accounts? One for orcon and one for gmail? Cause it probably doesn't like it if you are trying to use the same SMTP server and username/password for both.

1323811 2013-01-20 19:23:00 Yeah both entirely diff accounts. gmail is the main one i have learnt is nessasary when changing isp's or not aving the net but still require a email....so out came the old gmail account.... and i just want the orcon to be a check regularly one, but not give it out?

iive got incoming emails again but have not tried to send any again. that will be the next trick to learn lol
