1322492 2013-01-12 22:09:00 Hi guys
This may seem a dumb question but.

I often want to send an email that I sent to one address to another address a few days later.

The only way I can see to do it is to use the Forward feature.

I type in the new sender address all OK.

But in the body of the email it has an annoying "box" with the original email address in it.

It always takes me a while to delete this box (really its two boxes) and I end up with a whole lot of line spaces at the top of the email.

Shirley there must be an easy way to send an email to someone else the next day ?

Thanks

1322493 2013-01-12 23:21:00 Right click on the email address in the previous mail and "Compose message to"

edit: or just type the first couple of letters and let it autocomplete
... or just type the address :P

1322494 2013-01-12 23:22:00 One way - is coding a script to do what you want. Or search for a script online or a addon. Google and their devlopers has app scripts for their products. kahawai chaser (3545)

Remove the spaces too.

I don't have that problem. I left click and hold to select the whole of the unwanted address material and then press delete.
If you delete line by line you'll get the empty box structure which tends to defy deletion, but if you block delete including lines before and after the box it works ok.

1322497 2013-01-13 04:21:00 If you've found the original you sent in your Sent folder, just right-click & select "Edit as New..." MushHead (10626)

And that is what I used to do, but then you end with a with a few blank lines before the start of your message, AND if you delete those lines it suddenly deletes all the line breaks and you end up with one solid paragraph of text that you have to edit and enter paragraph breaks.

So Mushheads tip is great.

I had searched like mad to try to find the solution even on Thunderbirds help pages and google.
(still I suppose its an obscure thing to want to search for)
