1298702 2012-09-03 18:20:00 Well - I gone and done it - got myself some sort of heart attack and I'm in the VA Hospital in Fort Harrison, MT . They haven't figured what caused it or if it'll be back or not, so I am here for the forth day while they run tests .

I thought it was the smoke from the Idaho fires where the smoke crosses over the state line to Montana, and I just ignored it - even went to the Ravailli County Fair on Thursday last week and actually felt pretty good n all . Then I got home and it really got nasty .

I wound up in the ER at Fort Harrison (200 miles from home) since I had an appointment here anyway and that's where I went Code Blue and was for all intents and purposes 'gone' for a few minutes . They called it an 'event' . It's always good to have a heart attack in the ER, and that worked out for the best, but I sure scared a whole bunch of people - me included .

I'm doing fine right now and tomorrow I take a cardio-chemical stress test since I can't run a treadmill with my hips, leg and back condition .

This is just a note to those who sent me PMs while I had batteries left in my Nexus - it's too low in power to even get it to light up now, so I'm using the Green Room - a waiting room of sorts - public PC . I got to read a few of the PMs, and just today found this PC so I could answer back .

If all goes well (the test and all) I should be on my way home in about 26 hours from now - it's almost 11AM here, Monday .

So don't worry, your resident Yank - the noun, not the verb- will be back home soon and right back at sending lengthy diatribes and short novels . Thanks to all who PM'd me too .

1298703 2012-09-03 19:21:00 Best wishes Joe, get well soon.

How come you don't have spare batts for Nexus and/or charger, seems pointless having it if you can't use it in a time like right now.

1298704 2012-09-03 19:33:00 Couldn't you have controlled your impatience long enough to get crook in winter? Seems a bit of a waste of a bit of one of the better seasons to go infarcting about right now. Still, it seems they need a few solar panels with suitable charging leads attached in that joint; so maybe clambering amongst the snow is not too clever, tossing photon traps over the roofs is better sooner than later.

You young squirts will have to learn patience - - prepare your hospital, then take a turn in there. Meantime, get well pronto, and get your Vegemite levels up a bit.

1298707 2012-09-03 21:52:00 Best wishes to you, get well soon! Obviously your number wasn't up yet, even though you left this world momentarily. I bet it was a very scary experience. Hope your stress test goes well, and they can sort out the problem for you soon. Thanks for keeping everyone up to date here in upside down land.

Cheers, LL :-)
