| 1323297 | 2013-01-30 03:19:00 | Something WORKED!!!! Don't know what but I just got through watching Ted. Afterward I just thought I would try Windows Media Center - and the DVD worked. It is magic!!!! By the way I am very impressed with NOD. I have never had anything that just stopped me from going on a site that was bad (#1 media player on google). I like the way it cleans a program before it gets onto your computer. Pretty cool. Also Media Player Classic one hell of a program!!!! That Strommer guy was right about how great you guys are!!!!! | 1323299 | 2013-02-03 14:04:00 | hi mavy here and new to this forum stuff, just signed up so maybe i can help a few people and also getting some help in return start your pc keep pressing f8 key till you get the safe mode option screen goto safe mode with or without networking (without is faster) use your friggin tools that came with the computer everyone seems to think they dont work but they they still do --------goto start/programs/accessories/system tools/system restore-------- and breing that mofo back to a day other then a check point if you can seems to me it works better when you go back to a day you installed a update or a program good luck this was an easy one but funny as S#$T i think this one goes in my top ten making it #1 on my list i like the part if your pc or laptop has a webcam hooked up and when the virus poped up it shows your face on the screen and that stupid look on your face while your trying to find out what the hell is going on( thats priceless ) i would love to see a show with a comilation of all the looks on peoples faces when the virus pops up i mean come on thats entertainmen thankx mavy |

| 1323300 | 2013-02-03 22:46:00 | Slight problem with your method Mavy, if you had read the posts you'd have seen that the computer couldn't boot into safe mode. Running system restore doesn't always work, as depending on the infections, they can infect system restore as well, so when its run the infection goes back for the ride and SR does nothing. Some infections make copies and are hidden so remove one and another will reactivate it. Some people have System restore turned off as well. About the only thing you wrote that is correct is using some of the inbuilt tools that Windows has. Not everything can be fixed by system restore. |
