1298205 2012-09-02 23:46:00 The guy was being a numbnuts by draping himself over the bonnet of a car, just asking to be run over. That a good excuse?

I'm not saying you guys are wrong, I'm saying there's no way to fairly Judge without all the facts and you are all making assumptions based on one article on a website so there's no way to be certain you are right.

It is by definition hit and run, and I'm sure the Judge is smart enough to know that better than us. Without knowing the reasoning behind the sentence and understanding FULLY the circumstances we are none of us in a position to second guess the verdict.

I'm not defending the Guy, or the Judge, I'm trying to point out we don't have enough information to decide if it's a fair verdict or not.

There appears to be another two cases where this judge has been very lenient.

1298209 2012-09-03 07:19:00 . . . I'm not defending the Guy, or the Judge, I'm trying to point out we don't have enough information to decide if it's a fair verdict or not .
The jury had a fair earful of the facts, they seemed to be fairly convinced of the facts of the matter as regards guilt . The Judge has the task of deciding if a wet bus ticket is the modern equivalent of a wet tram ticket, the slap of course has to be dispensed with these days .

The judge gets paid heaps more than the jury, so he must be right as far as the law is concerned . However, the law is mainly concerned with getting paid a great deal for practicing said law .
