104664 2002-12-10 02:06:00 You can try registering online again and see what the msgs are. I did that for a customer and at the end I ended up ringing MS support which was a good experience since they only ask you a few questions and they'll do the changes for you.

104665 2002-12-10 02:08:00 Windows XP can be reactivated on to a new PC. On the OEM system builders web site, it just states that the customer has to be there when the computer boots up for the first time.

In the case of reactivation, Microsoft requires to know the name of the person in was registered on first. If you registered on the telephone, tell them this and tell them what you have done, and the should give you a confirmation code.

There's always one, isn't there? The person has asked for help on a Microsoft Issue. That doesn't mean its open season on Microsoft Users. It may come as a suprise, but some people (Shock! Horror!) actually like Microsoft products, and will continue to use them!

I'm getting sick of hearing people doing this in every second thread. People are aware by now that there is this fantasticly great product out there, so give it a rest.

(Sorry, did I just overreact??)
