104557	2002-12-09 20:25:00	Has anyone else had problems getting mailwasher to work with Widnows ME? It won't connect to server and won't go past the password. Thanks	denise (1155)
104558	2002-12-09 20:41:00	No problems at all with ME, which version of Mailwasher though that should not make a difference either. Ok, some things to check. Pity I cannot include images here to demostrate better. Open Mailwasher and click Tools and then from the Menu, select Accounts. In the window that opens after clicking Accounts you should see your account details. Double click or hightlight and click properties. You don't mention which ISP you are using so everything that follows will be examples, you just adjust to suit your user name and password, etc. Pop Settings = pop3.myisp.co.nz smtp = smtp.myisp.co.nz (make sure you don't have the smtp back to front reading smpt ) Name of the Account = Denise Your email address = denise@myisp.co.nz Password = ******** and make sure the tick box is ticked to always remember that password. If you are using the 2.0.18 or newer versions ......at the bottom of the Bouncing Options click on the Advanced Bouncing Options > Bouncing Details and from the options change to Use Local SMTP Server Only. This will take care of those using forged addresses. !!!Also while you are in the Advanced Bouncing Window make sure that the tick box My SMTP Server Requires Auth is un ticked At the moment it sounds like your password is incorrect or that you might have mixed up the smtp but if you check all the above with your own settings and then let us know how you get on.	duckyduck (197)
104559	2002-12-10 04:51:00	Denise, No problems here either with ME. I have Mailwasher 2.I think it is the beta version. Do as Ducky Duck says & you should be fine. I must remember to use it more as I'm getting queer emails into my Hotmail account. Pauline.	Pauline (641)
