104527 2002-12-09 09:33:00 I am thinking of buying something.
www.pricespy.co.nz shows some nice prices.
are there any happy customers out there?? how was the manners, products and support??'

i am unsure since the website does say part-time business and looks like a residential address. it also does not support credit cards.
just want to be safe than sorry.

104528 2002-12-09 20:50:00 I hadn't heard of the before you question. I'm in Wellington too and one place I'd reccomend is Starlyte http://www.starlyte.co.nz/

They are run from home in Hataitai, but when I spoke to them for my last order they said they were opening a store in Elisabeth Street, My Vic.

They've always delivered next day for me!

104529 2002-12-09 21:04:00 The business is in Newlands.
They offer delivery with courier charges. Think its pickup from from their place. Just a bit worried since the product is 36 months warrantied. Will they last that long or is it better to pay more and go elsewhere... In addition normal shops generally sell that line are 'return to base'. So this creates the uncertainty for this kind of business.

104530 2002-12-09 21:21:00 I second Starlyte - I brought my PC off them a few months ago. Excellent price. I wasn't aware he was opening a store tho'. Dunno Anon (2431)
104531 2002-12-09 22:25:00 Starlyte have always been able to 'price match' every time I've asked them. Just make sure that you can quote sources of prices. It's not fair to make lower prices up ;) crozier (2004)
104532 2002-12-09 22:32:00 Raymond,
I haven't heard of Williams PC but I am also about to get a new PC and would be interested to have their Web site. Where did you hear about them?. Why not go for one of the Wellington firms that have been around for a while?.

104533 2002-12-09 22:45:00 Dear other,
I am buying a product that carries 5yr warranty so am bit worry buying from a person w/o a shop. Sorta rules out Haitati... unless if i can get assurances from people of their service.

To Pato:
www.williampc.co.nz
They seem to be cheap through www.pricespy.co.nz *as already mentioned*

104534 2002-12-10 06:05:00 i'm buying elsewhere. looks too scary.
was a big old house in a residential block. and i had to reply 3yr return to base warranty while its the person's part time business.
