| 104656 | 2002-12-10 01:59:00 | I have a laptop and was typing in word when suddenly with no error message at all a blue screen came up and I lost everything, I have turned it off and back on a couple of times but all I get is an entire blue screen...does anyone know what the problem is and how I can fix it??? this is using win98 many thanks di |

| 104657 | 2002-12-10 02:10:00 | BSOD can be caused by a lot of things.. Bad memory address, HDD failing, Memory error, Bad drivers...etc. it'll help if you can tell us the BSOD msg. |

From your description, it sounds like the blue screen is not the BSOD (Blue Screen Of Death) as it would have an error message normally. How long between powering it up and getting the blue screen? |

| 104661 | 2002-12-10 03:07:00 | Thought so. Sounds like a pretty massive failure, possibly a hardware problem. Try getting a DOS boot floppy, see if it will boot to that, if not.... |
