| 104794 | 2002-12-10 09:17:00 | Help...Please! How do I set up Windows 2000 Pro so as to permit logging on from a Windows 98 machine via a peer to peer network? I can access files and printer on 98 machine from 2K machine but not vice versa. File and Printer Shariing is enabled on 2K machine. | KenS (2546) | ||

Right click on My PC on your 2K box and select Manage My Computer Select Local Users and Groups Select Users Right click somewhere and add the user with the same name a password to the list. Close it down and you should be sweet. Dont forget Win2K's default Share once you've got access. \\windows2Kbox\C$\ will give you access to the 2K machine's HDD! Cheers Chilling_Silence |
