| 104769 | 2002-12-10 06:02:00 | While surfing the net, i often get an error message that says "microsoft IE has incountered a problem and needs to close, we are sorry for the inconvenience" it then has a tick box which allows me to "restart IE" the final option is to send an "error report" to microsoft. The box usually pops up on sites that use flash or macromedia animations but can also pop up on plain html sites. Is there anyway i can fix this without upgrading any hardware ? I have IE6 and the latest updates from microsoft. i am running a fairly old amd 450 mhz with 128 ram. |

| 104770 | 2002-12-10 09:12:00 | its hard to trace faults without exact error mesages, however you can do a scan disk, defrag. also clean out index.dats, check temp internet file is not set to big (suggest about 40) and keep history set low (5). also check howmany background programs are running. disable any unneeded ones from startup. also check for spyware (try adaware). just general mantainance. hopefully it will help. | tweak'e (174) | ||
