104699 2002-12-10 02:49:00 I need someone with netscape 6 to test a website I have been building for my work. I have netscape 7 and it works OK, but I need to know if it is all good with 6.

If you can go to this site:
www.access999.co.nz/ns7/index.htm

and have a surf around the pages and tell me if the text and underlines are lined up correctly. If you also have IE 5 or above, can you compare the link above with what is shown on this version of the page please.

www.access999.co.nz/ie5/index.htm

Cheers,
Craig.

104700 2002-12-10 03:41:00 For what its worth using a Mac version of browsers I get the following.

IE loads OK using www.access999.co.nz Url changes to www.access999.co.nz

Opera loads OK

Netscape 7 loads OK

Netscape 4.79 no text or graphics only page colour.
Using http://www.access999.co.nz comes up with old page under construction.

104701 2002-12-10 04:31:00 I have Netscape 6 and the first URL is fine. The lines stay fixed and separate the links.

In the second URL the lines are all over the place. On the air - line through broadcasters when clicked on. When you click on 'schedule' the line moves to the top of 'schedule'. About999 - line through philosophy. Profile - three lines are either under or through airtime bookings, airtime rates and about sponsorship.

104702 2002-12-10 23:23:00 Thanks for the testing Jim, can you tell me which url opera loads ok with? I hadn't even thought about making a page available for opera, cheers for that.

Craig.

104703 2002-12-10 23:33:00 Hey Jim, can you go to this page with opera:

www.access999.co.nz/browser.htm

and copy the info into a post so I can see how to identify opera and use it in my redirection script.

Cheers,
Craig.

Using www.access999.co.nz/browser.htm
Url changes to www.access999.co.nz
Site does not load

104706 2002-12-11 01:00:00 Using both of those links on Opera it does no display quite right.

The bar with the links on it continues right accross the top of the 999 graphic on the left.
There is also a vertical white line running down the centre from the top to the links bar.

104707 2002-12-11 01:34:00 Ok, thanks for your help, it looks like i'll have to build a third version of the page for older/other browsers! They need to completely rewrite the html standards so that ALL browsers show the same layouts for the same code!

Cheers,
Craig
