105277 2002-12-12 00:00:00 I know it's damned simple and i'm dumb

I'm trying to align the right margin so the text all lines up automatically as I type like it does on the left margin.

I'm halfway thru inputting and want to apply this to the text to come and that already entered - y'know what I mean...

ughhhhh

thanks in advance

105278 2002-12-12 00:05:00 Select the text and click on the Justify button. It should be the last button (one of four) in the series beginning Align Left. Oxie (1318)
105279 2002-12-12 00:07:00 You don't say what program you are using to input the text.

If it's MSWORD then click Format, Paragraph, Alignment, Justified.

I hope that's what you want.

Oh Elephant! The title says "ms word margin question". I would guess that the program is MS Word ;) ;) :p :p :p

105281 2002-12-12 03:44:00 To make the whole document's text "justified", use CTRL+A (to select all the text) then CTRL+J (to justify the text). Susan B (19)
105282 2002-12-12 03:50:00 thanks that problem solved...:)

now I find the first paragraph is a different format/template(style?) than the rest

I've tried various select and apply options but please how do I do this simple thing?

thanks in advance

105283 2002-12-12 04:51:00 artpepper,

Can you be more specific and describe how your first paragraph is different from the others please.

105284 2002-12-12 05:11:00 yes spacing between lines is wider , it's same font et al but it is "bigger", ie btwn lines as I said and between each word - though if you try to edit it is still the one space between

ie. this paragraph is either using a different format and /or template

hope that helps explain my problem

cheers

105285 2002-12-12 05:49:00 <ctrl> A to select the entire document.

In the icon menu bar there should be a drop down list (well actually there are several, pick and choose till you find the right one). Drop it down and select "Normal".

If things don't change hop into Format; Styles, select normal and make the required changes.

105286 2002-12-12 07:30:00 To set the line spacing the same for the whole document:
<ctrl> A selects all text
<ctrl> 1 sets line spacing at single
<ctrl> 2 sets line spacing at double
<ctrl> 5 sets line spacing at one and a half
