| 105605 | 2002-12-13 01:28:00 | Hello, Has anyone managed to get the old DOS games Lemmings 1,2 or 3 working on a Windows 98 system? With sound? Or can I buy a later version of Lemmings which works in Windows 98? I miss playing Lemmings. Phil |

| 105609 | 2002-12-13 08:06:00 | Hey I :x Lemmings - especially Lemmings 1 with the lil' pixellated men and their blue hair . . . . Lemmings 2 + should run fine under Windows (I think >:|) However you will have to tell Lemmings 1 to ignore Windows for it to work . (otherwise you will end up booting into dos just to play it) Install Lemmings and then find the main file that the game loads off, right click it in Windows and click Properties, go into the Program tab and click Advanced . Then click Prevent MSDOS programs from detecting Windows, and take the ticks out of everything else CyberChuck |

I found a couple of places from Google that have special versions for Windows - they ran perfectly except that the original music files weren't included. I know they can be got elswhere however. I don't have the links any longer, sorry, but do the search yourself and you should find something - try "lemmings for windows" | Greg S (201) | ||

In there series, I know these work: Lemmings 1, Oh-No More Lemmings, Lemmings - The Tribes, Lemmings - The Tribes 2, Christmas Lemmings, Lemmings Paintball, Lemmings 3D. | 105613 | 2002-12-14 05:48:00 | Thanks for the advice. I have Lemmings 1 working in DOS Mode, but had to download LEMMINGS.EXE cos VGALEMMI.EXE missed screen detail. I have Lemmings 2 working but booting to a DOS 622 HD. Still working on Lemmings 3, it gives me just a blank screen. |
