105575 2002-12-12 23:48:00 Panasonic KX-p6500 has not device driver for Windows XP OS!

The driver from XP CD doesn't work properly - some of the alphabets do not print out correctly. I tried to install the Win 2K driver but there is error after re-boot.

Is there any solution to this?

Cheers

105576 2002-12-12 23:55:00 Panasonic (www.kme.panasonic.co.jp) said the Drivers on XP CD should work so you might want to check the printer cable.

I have the same thing happened to me on my HP5L, since I changed the cable, it works fine :D

105578 2002-12-13 03:50:00 Thanks for all the info .

Technical support from Panasonic NZ sent me a beta copy of the driver and I just installed it to my machine .

It works fine when I logon as Adminstrator but when I logon as a user, the following error appeared just after I logon:

"Can't load DLL library"

Any explanation?

105579 2002-12-13 04:43:00 KXP 6500 won't work on XP - not even using the built in emulation (HP IIP I think). Panasonic NZ told me that's right it won't go, and no, we're not going to do a driver for it. Ditto some newish (pre XP) Canon printers... falvrez (390)
105580 2002-12-13 09:04:00 Thanks for reminding me, falvrez.

I installed HP IIP driver and it seems to be working OK, so far. I tried out a few pages and it works fine.

Thanks to all those who has constributed to my post.
