105505 2002-12-12 19:46:00 I need to install software on a restricted win98 machine. It logs onto a win2000 server.
The problem is policy editor has restricted most operation.
How can I disable policy editor without manually unchecking all options, or is there an easier way to load on the software, ie publisher...

105506 2002-12-12 22:20:00 If you do not have permission get the tec guys to do it. Not going to explain too much until I know you have permission.
You don't disable policy editor you run it to alter the policies.

105507 2002-12-13 01:29:00 I am the tech guy, I have the admin password so can disable all policies if I had to. I just want to know how I can temporarily remove them all, as the PC has been moved so office is installed in a different place for this logon, but it is fully locked and I don't want to remove each policy individually then add them again. arthur (823)
105508 2002-12-13 08:11:00 If you have the Admin password you should be able to do anything otherwise the policies for the 98 PC have not been set up properly and you will need to do it the long way. mikebartnz (21)
