105438 2002-12-12 08:42:00 my PC Company computer from Farmers is only 10 weeks old and is under warranty. I bought it here in Wanganui and have a problem with my CPU. I contacted the PC Company help desk and they said they are happy to look at it but they said I have to pay for the freight to send it by Courier to Palmy North as this is the closest PC Company.

Surely I should be able to return it it Farmers store where I bought it and they can send it off at their expense, does anyone know anything about this?

105439 2002-12-12 09:03:00 I would think that they should do that. Why not ask them? Trev0 (1995)
105440 2002-12-12 09:15:00 Hi Mandy

If you bought it from Farmers they are responsible for the warranty . Deliver it to the shop and they will take it from there . It is highly unlikely that they will not accept responsibility but if they try, don't give in .

The Consumer Guarantees Act does not allow the seller of a product to disclaim responsibility and pass the customer on to the manufacturer .

Come back here if you need more help .
