| 105715 | 2002-12-13 12:44:00 | there was something about pagefiles in novembers pc authority (the one with MS service packs on it, might be december issue though) in the advanced computing section. someone was wanting XP to delete their pagefile at shutdown (slows down the shutdown process, but is more secure). usually, my pagefile (on 40GB hdd) was about 800MB, but after doing the registry setting so it was deleted/cleared at shutdown, it has started off small and grown from there as more data was loaded into windows memory. i let windows handle the size of my pagefile, and don't have any errors. i would advise you to see www.microsoft.com and download the MS TweakUI XP powertoy. | agent (30) | ||
