| 105530 | 2003-01-17 21:42:00 | Finally I have got my machine running again. Still no internet yet as I haven't gopt a phone at this stage, but the odd fix at an internet cafe helping. It ended up being the power supply which took the mobo with it when it died. I replaced it with an enermax 350W dual fan with variable fan speed power supply, an ASUS A7V333-X mobo with 256mb (at the mo) of PC-2700 DDR ram. Onlt problem is now the power plug on the asus board is in the wrong place for my case and it hits the 51/2 inch bays so I cant close the case. I am thus in the market for a new case. Thanks for all the advice - I hope to be back on the net within the end of the month. See you then. GP |
