| 106001 | 2002-12-15 02:25:00 | Hi. Got win XP home. There are 2 hard drives. the slave drive has gone west. I can't see it in explorer, or with a win98 boot disk. It is detected in bios, and I get an error if I disconnect it (primary slave something something). How do I get it back? (its not hidden with tweakui either) | wotz (335) | ||
| 106002 | 2002-12-15 18:40:00 | Hey Does the slave have anything on it that would stop Windows from reading it? - eg Linux Also, is it set to removable in the drives system properties and has the disconnect option enabled? Because you shouldn't be able to disconect a physical [internal] drive Have you tried running FDISK or something on the drive to get it back? - I dunno if it's still included with WindowsXP seeing as they got rid of true dos from it, but it's worth a try. Use FDISK to completely wipe the drive and assign it to the drive letter you want (You may have to set up a partition on it so I would get 100% of the drive to be the partitioned drive) CyberChuck |

It doesn't in partition magic. It has all my downloaded app setups on and I want to burn them to CD. There's nothing vital on it. | wotz (335) | ||
