105995 2002-12-15 01:39:00 If you still have the Win2K CD, Then Start the install by booting from the CD and let it go thru the format (Format as FAT32, I'm not sure if ME supports NTFS), then abort the install.

Then boot off the WinME CD.

Otherwise, You may want to download and use UBD (Ultmate Boot Disk). Do a quick search of this forum, maybe even have a flik thru the FAQ's, it'll be in there.

I made a post on how can I make a bootable CD not too long ago, you might wanna give that a go if you've got a CD-R/W.

Hope this helps

105997 2002-12-15 03:32:00 So you've currently got 2k on and want to change to ME. If you boot with a bootdisk that has format.com on it you can format that way. I'm not sure if the ME CD is bootable or not. -=JM=- (16)
105998 2002-12-15 03:35:00 Put a windows me boot disk in and start your computer.

AT the A: Type fdisk = (A:fdisk)

when you get to the menu Numder 3 to delete partition

then i thick it's number 4 delete non-dos partition ie. win2000 NTF

then go back to menu and create primary dos partition number 1 for winows me.

then exit restart computer with boot disk in and at the A: type format C: = A:format C:

then install windows me

if you don't have a win me boot disk you can download it from some where.
