105956 2002-12-14 21:11:00 Using IE 5.5.
I have 3-4 shortcuts opening various sites that I regularly use.
At this time once one of the windows has opened, the next shortcut opens over writing the first.
How can I make each page open as a new page? I have been using Ctrl+N to open a new page then via favorites open the required site on the new page.
I would like to be able to open each new site on a new page using the shortcuts with out effecting the already open pages.

I don't think it can be done... although you could try setting Windows Explorer to open new sessions in new windows, that might work. (Not sure if it will though).

105958 2002-12-14 22:01:00 Hey

To do this I would do it the cheap way. Make a New Windows Shortcut but use these settings:

Command Line: "IEXPLORE.EXE - the space is very important. Name it to whatever you want (PressF1 Shortcut?) - and you can do this for all your IE Shortcuts by just replacing http://www.pressf1.co.nz" target="_blank">www.pressf1.co.nz" - the space is very important. Name it to whatever you want (PressF1 Shortcut?) - and you can do this for all your IE Shortcuts by just replacing http: with the URL of your shortcut

This tells Internet Explorer to open (or open another window) at the page you specified by starting a new IE session

105959 2002-12-14 22:19:00 If I could be so blasphemous and suggest trying another browser such as Crazy Browser (http://www.crazybrowser.com/).

This browser allows you to open each shortcut from Favourites in a new window, with each new window loading behind the current one. The windows are tabbed which mean that you can easily switch from one to the other. You can also "lock" individual windows so that they stay open whilst being able to close down all other windows in one click. This is good when doing searches and often you have 10 windows open and you want to close all and just keep the original open (eg PressF1 :D)

Crazy Browser has a very nifty search function as well where you can search using multiple engines from the one search entry ...... but I am digressing here.

Anyway, it is just another suggestion :-)

I've used your method cyberchuck and it works a treat.

105961 2002-12-14 22:30:00 Hmmm .... that link I posted for Crazy Browser is being redirected to another page ... very strange.

If you are interested still try this link instead here (www.crazybrowser.com)
