105730 2002-12-13 09:44:00 In Outlook or Outlook Express is it possible to somehow save all the attachments to a folder somewhere (not an Outlook folder, but a drive folder) all in one go, rather than opening each email and saving them one by one?

I've got lots of emails I want to save the attachments from (most of them have only one attachment), majority being .doc, .xls, or .jpg

I've got Outlook 2003 if that makes it easier (most likely not) but can try with other versions, or with OE if that would be easier.

2.Browse to where you want to save the files on your hard drive.
3 Click save

An easier way of doing that - drag'n'drop :D

Open the folder you want them saved in, open Outlook or Outlook Express (doesn't matter if it's full screen) select the ones you want to copy and drag them to your folder. If you can't see it drag the files down to the folders name in the taskbar wait for the folder to open and drop them in there

105733 2002-12-13 18:58:00 I want to save all attachments from all emails in one go. This method doesn't work for multiple emails, only one at a time.

So how am I saving the attachments? This method just copies the email to disk, it doesn't save the attachment. I don't want the emails, just the attached files :)

Sorry - in Outlook have you tried right-clicking on the attachment and clicking Save As? - Or when you open it and it comes up with the security warning (this may contain harmful or malicous code, etc) click Save it to Disk

Again this has to be done one at a time. I have several hundred emails with several hundred attachments, so I want to do it only once :)

Thanks Jim, I'll give it a go and see if it works :)
