| 106264 | 2002-12-15 07:48:00 | Has anyone had trouble (and have you found a cure) you go START => SETTING => CONTROL PANEL => ADD / REMOVE PROGRAM => WINDOWS SETUP => INTERNET TOOLS, click "internet connection sharing" and followed instructions like insert floppy, log on to internet with that computer take the floppy to other computer run program called "icsclset.exe" on the floppy and try to log on to a web site on the internet and "nothing" , And yes it is "windows 98 se" I least I hope so. Now my friend think I am a "wog", but with microsoft operating system, one has to take these things into ones stride :-(. | E.ric (351) | ||
| 106265 | 2002-12-15 07:58:00 | Hey Had the same problem with ICS so I just did it this way: 1) Install ICS on the host machine 2) On the Client(s) Go Start > Settings > Control Panel > Network 3) Click on TCP/IP > **NIC Name** and click properties 4) Gateway Tab > Type in the IP Address of the Host Machine 5) DNS Config. Enable DNS Host = ICS Host Machine Name Domain = Domain Name (leave empty if not applicible) DNS Search Order = IP Address of Host Machine Hope this helps CyberChuck |
