| 106869 | 2002-12-17 09:02:00 | When i put a cd in the cd drive usually i click start /my computer and the icon for d drive has changed to the name of the cd . now it do'snt as if there is no cd in the drive..when i click copy to cd it asks to insert cd.. it reads the cd;s o.k but won't say they are in the drive..device manager say's the drive is working o.k in system info it says o.k.. the drive is only about 4 mths old.. winxp ??? thanks.. | johnboy (217) | ||
| 106870 | 2002-12-17 18:22:00 | Hey Maybe your lens has got dusty? - buy a CD Lens cleaner from somewhere (DSE have them), and even if it doesn't fix your problem at least you have a lens cleaner for all your CD devices Otherwise, it could be a loose connection between your computer and the CDROM drive? Check that out to If all else fails you could take it back under warraunty and get a new one? CyberChuck |
