| 106860 | 2002-12-18 01:57:00 | If it started working for you after reinstalling Dialup networking then it was still an OE setting that was the problem. If you can get web sites and not email than this is not a connection problem, it is an email problem or a setting in OE or connecting to OE with the wrong account If there was any incorrect dialup connection set up in OE than a new account sets it back to default. |

I'm pleased to report that the problem was solved (at the suggestion of the Xtra help desk) by disabling my Zone Alarm Firewall for OE. Everything works fine now. Thanks Susan B, cyberchuck, Jim B, Clueless, godfather, tweak'e and Chilling Silience for your helpful suggestions. JR |
