| 107336 | 2002-12-18 09:24:00 | I have received an e-mail from a friend that he sent as one message with a jpg attachment. It has arrived in my Outlook 2000 inbox split in to 5 parts, labelled 1/5 2/5 etc. - How/why did this happen? - How do I recombine the e-mails so I can see the attachment? I don't know what e-mail program the sender is using. TIA |

| 107337 | 2002-12-18 10:15:00 | This is done in Tools/Accounts/Properties/Advanced Break apart messages larger than xx kb Outlook will normally combine split files automatically, you will see in the header the number of parts to the message but the message should be complete again If it does not recombine automatically select Message/Combine and decode |

| 107339 | 2002-12-18 19:07:00 | "Combine and Decode" is an OE feature - I don't think Outlook has the ability to recombine. Try saving the attachments then go to a dos box and use the command: Copy /B attach1.xxx attach2.xxx attach3.xxx combined.xxx where you substitute the filenames as necessary for the files you have saved. The last filename on the command line is the destination file. |
