| 107254 | 2002-12-18 04:53:00 | Open up OE, go to Tools>Accounts>Add>Mail>fill in your name>fill in your Hotmail email address>click Next until you get to the end of the wizard, adding in your password along the way if you wish . When you have finished OE will ask you if you wish to download your folders: accept this and you're away . A tip: Go to Tools>Accounts>click on the hotmail account you just created and choose Properties . Remove the tick from "Include this account when receiving mail or synchronizing" . I have found that this prevents problems with OE when it wants to check your emails and can't for some reason . To receive your emails go to "Send/Receive" and click on your Hotmail account or just click on the account's Inbox . It is also a good idea not to have OE on Preview when downloading Hotmail as it makes it easier to delete any spam when only the header is downloaded instead of the whole message . It's quicker too . |
