| 107387 | 2002-12-18 21:24:00 | I asked about this before but the problem is more obscure. I have Works 6.0 installed. When I look for it under all programs it doesn't appear but when I change to Classic there it is! I removed it then reinstalled it. When I rebooted I got the normal pop-up telling me there was a new program but no, it wasn't there. Again I returned to classic view and there it is. What's going on? | BernieL (1913) | ||
| 107388 | 2002-12-18 21:30:00 | is there more than one user on this PC? If so it may have not been given access to for all users. | crozier (2004) | ||
| 107389 | 2002-12-18 22:54:00 | I had a similar problem when it came to having the Administrative tool menu showing up. I tried many things to get it to work but to no avil. Finally I came across a way to fix it. You will find that if you right click the start button and go to open(or explore) all users it will be there, if not just chose open or explore, when you are in then create new folder, name it whatever you like and then either move the entire Works folder into that folder or just the contents of the folder into the folder. You should now find the new folder in the start menu and works within that folder. Why Windows does what it does is beyond me. I hope this helps. Have a happy and safe Christmas :) |
