| 107448 | 2002-12-19 02:49:00 | When you open Outlook Express, tick the "Go immediately to Inbox" option. I find that generally stops MSN Messenger from opening. You should also look at disabling through msconfig too... that helps! Lo. |

| 107450 | 2002-12-19 03:03:00 | Hey Start > Run and type "MSCONFIG" (without the " ) On the startup tab lists most of the applications that run at startup, find and take the tick out of the ones you don't want running at startup (including MSNMSGR - MSN Messenger) and then click apply and ok A reboot will be required and that's that. Also, in Outlook Express click Tools > Options Under the General tab take the tick out of Automatically log onto Windows Messenger (aka MSN Messenger) CyberChuck |

| 107451 | 2002-12-19 03:34:00 | Thankxx chuck, I had already taken that "automatic logon" tick from Outlook express when i installed Win XP. I cant seem to find msnmsgr in msconfig. I had already did that "do not run when windows starts" from MSN Messenger ->Options->Preferences tab. So it is not starting automatically. Just to sure this, i enabled this from MSN messenger preferences tab and went back to find in msconfig that msmsgs was listed as to start up when windows starts. I still cant seem to exit messenger when outlook express is running. |
