| 107671 | 2002-12-20 21:22:00 | BTW - I'm beginning to wonder if the Mi500 has some deficiency with it. I seem to recall Hugh aka NZC Tango (of Christchurch) cursing his Mi500 and eventually dumping it. | nzStan (440) | ||
| 107672 | 2002-12-21 01:33:00 | Hi Greg /nzStan (aka chopper of trees ;) ) Greg - i wish it was that easy! At the moment I turn on the computer and flick the switch on the modem and I'm surfing. I mentioned previous that the software that comes with the modem is not compatible with XP so support manually configured it for me. I remember back in the ME days going through a connection wizard that would allow me to enter user@jetstreamgames.co.nz but not compatible with XP. I have even tried using XP connection wizard and was able to enter user@jetstreamgames.co.nz but it came up with error and redialled. Maybe Hugh had the right idea but the *boss* probabley wont let me. Never mind I am sure that someone somewhere is using Ni500, Xtra, and jetstreamgames. |

Enter your Jetstream login ID and password. When installation is complete, (should be quite straight forward) remove your Ni500 and connect it back to your XP machine. That was exactly what I did for my XP machine and it works. Good luck |

| 107674 | 2002-12-23 02:54:00 | K, not sure if this will help but what the heck... Found at pl.net PAP and Nokia If using a Nokia Ni500, its default authentication protocol is CHAP, but Jetstream uses PAP. This is mentioned nowhere in the documentation, the installation nor even on the configuration display commands. For a Ni500, the command is: ppp 1 welogin myusername mypassword PAP |
