| 107907 | 2002-12-21 04:01:00 | OK, I've had this problem for ages, I've asked in a few forums before, but everyone says "Its a known problem you idiot, download the patch!" However, this is a known problem for windows ME (and 98?), I've never seen any fixes for this on windows XP. The problem is, whenever I hit sleep, restart, shutdown, it goes through the whole process, then *right* when it would normally turn off it locks up. And I know its right when it would normally turn off, because when I boot it back up again it doesn't give me the "incorrect shutdown" screen. I've tried fresh installing Windows XP, and during the time I've had the problem I've installed another HDD, a new graphics card, processor, extra RAM. Can anyone help me out? |
