1324319	2013-01-22 18:51:00	For some reason downloaded what I thought was a simple driver updater. The program is called Advanced Driver Updater. It is one of those, that do the updating, then tell you need to buy it to do the job. I have win 7,so did a search programs and files, deleted all there was from there. Then removed it from control pane. That usually does the trick, but each time I re boot, up it comes and scans for drivers. What do I do to remove this beast. Thanks lads.	Cicero (40)
1324320	2013-01-22 19:51:00	If you have CCleaner use it's startup editor to remove the startup entry, or use MSconfig if you don't have Ccleaner. Make note of what it's listed as to track it down and delete it also. Did it come with an uninstaller and did you try it? Also, don't use driver updaters. They are more trouble than they are worth. Use windows update to keep windows up to date and only update drivers as needed and use the manufacturers driver website to do it. The only drivers I update regularly is graphics and then only for the performance tweaks for gaming, anything else if it ain't broke don't fix it.	dugimodo (138)

I did CCleaner, but I didn't mention, looked at mscgonfig, not there, was just about to say it had gone, when the bugger popped up, the only way I can get it off screen is via task manager. I have been caught b4 by these things, so your advice is well taken.	Cicero (40)

1324324	2013-01-22 21:27:00	You could do a search in the registry. Type regedit in run then in the edit menu select find next.Type the name of the program in the search window and then click on find next and just delete the entries that come up for that program. Just keep on doing this until it finds no more. :)	Trev (427)
1324325	2013-01-22 22:30:00	be very carefull what you delete in the registry... I'd suggest maybe download something like Maxuninstaller (maxuninstaller.com) and use that. Install it and find Advanced Driver Updater and use it to uninstall as much as it will without paying for it - it will tell you exactly what's left that it didn't remove, and you can remove the rest yourself. At least you will know exactly what to remove...	bevy121 (117)
1324326	2013-01-23 01:18:00	Thanks lads, Malware bytes found nowt,,nor did maxuninstaller . I am sure it will be in registry, but I couldn't find. There is tick to stop it appearing at startup, but would like to see it gone.	Cicero (40)
