108470 2002-12-23 23:42:00 Look what I found. By moving very fast with the stop button I was able to view the source of their redirection page. If you have javascript turned off or not working properly - there's the problem. Mind you, if you can't reach the page it directs you to: www.trade-exchange.co.nz then there's another problem somewhere.

If this is the problem then we should let the admin know so he can add a hard link in the body of the page.

window.name="hhs" ;
window.open( "general/index.jsp", 'hhs' ) ;

108471 2002-12-24 02:39:00 To TonyF ...I'm using 98SE & IE 6.0.2800.110615...Just been there again to check & I can still get in. Had the problem early last week, emailed the 'admin' got a reply stating things on their side were all OK....Was using the old (trade-exchange) then, as a bookmark, when I changed to te.co.nz...all came right.......Strange things happen eh !!! Hello Dunk. Strange indeed. Looking back over this thread it seems that no two people have the same set of circumstances or difficulties.
I wish I knew how to make Opera do its stuff. Maybe the new version coming in Jan will be the fix.

108476 2002-12-25 09:27:00 Hi Bambi,

Well, the only thing on the redirection page is a javascript redirection. So it javascript is enabled it should work.

BUT...

A couple of weeks back I was having trouble accessing my own website (I posted here and the world could see it but I couldn't). The start of the problem was I changed hosts, and it continued through the Internet settings and my proxy.

First, click on tools, internet settings. On the general tab click settings and ensure it checks for "refresh page for every visit to a website". Then empty the temporary files.

If it still doesn't work - if you have a proxy check if it has saved the page there. (In my case the proxy was over-riding the emptying of the temporary files - uninstalling my proxy and reinstalling it solved my problem. Even though the proxy was set to check for new files, for some reason it didn't. Temporarily disabling it also didn't work.)

If the above doesn't work then possibly it needs a more recent version of javascript? I'm not a javascript expert. I can follow the code in scripts and see what it does but know nothing about whether there are different versions or not.
